About the Artist
Ever since she was a little girl growing up in Canton, Georgia, Sheila's dream was to become an artist. She spent much of her childhood outside with pencil and paper in hand. It was during that time that she developed a true love for nature.
In young adulthood, Sheila attended Kennesaw State University where she received a degree in biology. After working in a genetics lab, she decided to fulfill her lifelong dream and become an artist. Colored pencils are her main choice of medium, although she enjoys working with pastels and oils. She has participated in numerous art festivals, had her art on display in galleries and in 2020 her artwork titled, “The Clever One,” was published in the book, CP Treasures, Colored Pencil Masterworks from Around the Globe Volume 7. Her knowledge of biology, and her personal observations of the outdoors, have been a great influence on her artwork. Sheila resides in Acworth, Ga.
